Most n8n workflows are built entirely from existing nodes — HTTP requests, webhooks, and the 400+ built-in app integrations. When a workflow needs something those don't cover, I write custom code nodes (JavaScript or Python) or build the API wrapper needed to connect a system n8n doesn't natively support.
